The Senate has confirmed the Federal Road Safety Commission(FRSC) boss, Mr Osita Chidoka and Dr Abubakar Sulaiman as substantive ministers.
Their confirmation followed their screening in the open plenary where they fielded questions from senators on varied topical issues.
President Goodluck Jonathan had forwarded their names to the Senate last week for confirmation as ministers to fill in the vacant slots for Anambra and Kwara states respectively.
During his screening FRSC boss cleared the air on the controversial relocation of the commission’s training school from Jos to Enugu.
According to him, the training school are two in the country, one in the north which is in Mubi, Adamawa State and the other one in the south, which is located in Enugu.
He said that it was as result of cash constraints then by the Enugu State government that made the school to be taken to Jos on temporary basis.
However, Chidoka said when the governor of Enugu State made provision for 200 hectares of land, the commission had no other option than to relocate it to Enugu which was the original plan.
He also revealed that most Nigerian airports are run at a loss except Abuja and Lagos airports which can run themselves.
