The dreaded Boko Haram Islamic militants announced their return to Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory, Abuja with multiple bomb explosions that left many dead, with pieces of human flesh littering the roadside in a suburb of Abuja, Nyanya.
Explosives were said to have been detonated at the Jikwoyi Park, in the busy area located along Abuja-Keffi Expressway.
The number of casualties in the late Friday incident is yet to be ascertained at the time of this report.
The incident was the third to be recorded in that vicinity since the birth of the Jihadist insurgents.
According to eyewitnesses, a combined team of security forces, including soldiers, policemen, officials of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps as well as the Federal Road Safety Corps were seen around the already condoned off scene of the blasts.
A crowd of onlookers were reportedly on the increasing per minute as Abuja residents troop out to have a glimpse of the damage in the area.
The exact number and identities of the victims may never be known as security agents were seen on Saturday picking pieces of human flesh as many of the victims were torn into pieces.
Corpses with several missing parts were taken evacuated from the area last night, witnesses say.
Meanwhile, Two explosions have been reported in the Kuje area of Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, on same Friday night.
One blast reportedly occurred around the Kuje market and the second explosion occurred near a police station.
